Squat challenge

I was chatting to one of the guys on the gym floor that does my pump classes and somehow, in a way I don’t remember, we ended up going for a bet that we’ll both challenge ourselves to go for 30kg in squats. We’re both currently doing 25kg……..soooo, I might have to look for an easy squat track for next week…….haha!

I’m apprehensive about whether I should still go through with this bet, cuz although I hate backing down, at the time of the bet I’d forgotten that I’m actually having a sports massage that afternoon. If you’re reading this, I dunno if you’ve had a sports massage before, but these massages usually leave me more sore than doing 5 classes in one day……..and let’s make that 2 attack, 2 pump and a balance class while we’re at it………….yep, sports massage hurts more.

So, I’ll try and come through with my side of the bet……but I’m stressing about it a bit, especially cuz quarterly workshop is on this weekend too, and I already teach FIVE classes on the weekend.

Anyway, next week could be interesting, cuz I’ve decided to go and see a tarot reader. I’ve never done anything like that before so I’m a little excited and nervous. I’ve thought about seeing someone, or a psychic or something for a long time, but I’ve never known how to find the right person. This lady I’ve been put in contact through my sports massage therapist and from what I hear I think she’s gonna be ok. I’ve come to a time in my life where I think I need some help with answers. I’m too confused and when it comes to my personal life I seem to be making the same mistakes. I believe the same things keep happening to you until you learn what destiny or whatever it is trying to tell you. So I’m trying to learn…..lol

I’ve still been busy as this week, but I have at least managed to update my blog more often since I’ve succeeded in getting more sleep this week, even though I’m still working odd hours.

well I’m back up to my max weights tonight, after being knocked back a bit from being unwell. It was a little bit more of a challenge of course, but I had the energy and it felt great!

I did mainly BP58, but not quite all of it.

  8. Pretty Vegas ( (BP59) – didn’t get a chance to learn Round and Round in time

  10. Angels (BP56)

And as for my weights tonight:

  1. 5 kg each side (total: 10kg)
  2. 12.5 kg each side (total: 25kg)
  3. 7.5 kg each side (total: 15kg)
  4. 10 kg each side (total: 20kg)
  5. 5 kg each side (total: 10kg)
  6. 5 kg each side (total: 10kg)
  7. 7.5 kg each side (total: 15kg)
  8. 2.5kg plate, 5kg each side bar (total: 10kg)

My head wasn’t quite with it tonight though. I kept saying things wrong. Said during the deadlifts if they “bend theirhamstrings they would work their…………ohhhhhh”

Then they cracked up laughing when I told them to pick up their bags ­čś│ (instead of their bar). It was one of those nights ­čść

Flooded

Well, the flooding that was occuring at Zest ended up being a problem outside of the gym which was SA Waters responsibility. So they ended up having to come in and clean it up. I dunno the details, I only know that I saw them steam cleaning the carpets when I got there this afternoon.

I did my BP/BA/BB triple at Fernwood in the morning. I managed to get 8 hrs sleep thank gawd, so it wasn’t TOO hard. The attack ran a bit late though, so I dunno what I did wrong there. I must check the running time of the tracks I chose for my mix.

I just checked the running time of that mix on my ipod, and it’s over 58 minutes. hmmmm………think I won’t be doing that mix again!

Been a while

Well it’s been a while since I last posted, and I think the length of time between blog entries is directly proportional to how hard I’m working.

I’m currently working everyday at the moment, with not a single day off. It’s a bit tiring, especially when I end up with nights with only 4 hours sleep……..like last night. Today I did 7 hours approximately at Bodytrainer, directly followed by 6 hour gym shift. Basically 7am till 8pm (not to mention the fact that I had to get up at 5am to get to Mitcham in time).

Added to that, we had serious plumbing problems at about 7pm tonight, meaning the mens toilets began to flood. Within  half an hour all the toilets were blocked, men and womens. By 8pm there was serious problems because the water was beginning to back up the drain in the pool equipment room, which had serious electrical equipment. I ended up leaving about 8.30pm, feeling more stressed that I would have liked to have been. I left the pool manager to supervise the fixing of the problems.

Tomorrow morning I’ll be beginning a trial of Attack on Saturdays………so my BP/BC/BB triple is now a BP/BA/BB triple. That’s gonna be a challenge. Especially after everything that’s happened the last few days.

Not sure when my next update will be, cuz I’ve decided that I might just quietly slip away and die after tomorrow ­čśë
