Les Mills workshop this weekend
I’m all registered for the Les Mills workshop this weekend, for pump, combat and balance. The rules are quite different here in that you have to attend all the classes you are certified for (in order to keep up your qualifications) and have to attend at least 3 out of 4 workshops. Initially I didn’t [...]
Training
Well haven’t really lost much weight in the last month, but I have been getting fitter though. It is difficult, because I can’t exercise at the intensity I would like to due to back pain and hip problems as a result of the hormones from pregnancy. I’ve even had a niggling pain in my heel [...]
First BODYATTACK
Tonight I finally did my first bodyattack back from having my baby and I managed to survive! I did a mix of high and low impact, mainly cuz I didn’t want to go too hard the first time back and find out I can’t walk the next morning. As it turned out, my hips only [...]
RPM replaces BODYATTACK
Well tonight I decided to try out attack, even thought I think it might be a bit much for my hips at the moment (running and bodypump seem to aggravate me), but there wasn’t really any other classes I wanted to do, so I decided that I could do low impact if necessary.
But when I [...]BODYATTACK
It looks like I might be giving up teaching attack for a while, although it’s earlier than I would have given it up on the basis of pregnancy, however it’s no longer viable for the gym to keep the one attack class I teach going.
The numbers in this class on a Saturday morning used to [...]Adelaide Workshop - Q4 2007
So I forgot to register in time to get my DVD’s at the workshop, but I still remembered to go!
I taught my pump class in the morning then headed straight to the workshop. I intended to line up for Attack and/or Combat, not really sure if I could do both of them now [...]BODYATTACK 58
Lauched attack this morning at Fernwood, although I was on my own and there’s no special preparation with the launches there, so it’s simply just the day I start teaching it rather than a dramatic launch. However I pleased myself with how well I remembered the chorrey. This release doesn’t feel like an awesome release [...]
Friday
So finally a day to relax and do nothing. The plan was to try and get to Sofie’s step class in the evening, but I haven’t yet had a chance to learn chorrey and I have to teach the entirety of the new attack in the morning. So Alex and I stayed home and had [...]
I think I’m sore
says it all really……….my butt………OW!
I LOVE IT!
I got asked to fill in attack at 6am this morning though. That was interesting. The soreness from doing 30kg lunges hadn’t quite set in yet. I managed to even drag Alex out to the class, since it’s the only Attack class he’ll have the opportunity to [...]Adelaide Workshop
I’ve been hanging out for this worshop ever since the filmings back in April/May. I missed out on balance in the morning since I couldn’t get a fill in for my pump class, however I managed to make it for Combat and Attack.
I like the new location they chose for the Workshop at the Adelaide [...]5 hours of exercise
ok I’ve done a fair few classes in one day before, but today nearly smashed me……or well, maybe it did. eeeek!
Pump/Attack/Balance, then a quick light snack, shower and change then off for City-To-Bay training (just cuz I wont be able to train the running group on Sunday), and then the walking group afterwards.
oh, but it [...]BODYATTACK 58 filming
The attack filming followed shortly after jam, but because I participated I unfortunately didn’t get to take as many pictures as Jam.
However I participated in it and that was even better!!! This release really rocks! I dunno if it’s just the energy and the enthusiasm of a filming, but it doesn’t seem to matter what [...]Day 1 over
haha, I’m a bit tired {said in the chirpiest way possible}. The combat didn’t end up being a video rehearsal class, but I stayed anyway. It was actually interesting to do a normal class on the timetable that didn’t have a Presenter teaching it. It’s the first time I’ve done that. What felt odd was that [...]
1st Day in Auckland
So after quite a late night last night I got up early for the 9.10am combat class, hoping they might do a practise with the filming release. But worse than that, no instructor turned up! People started walking out after 10-20mins and the class was cancelled. The ironic thing was that there were probably about 5-10 [...]
Back is much better
My back is feeling much better thank gawd. It’s still a bit painful when I do some things, but it’s mostly ok and I can stand upright now and walk around without looking like a duck. Hopefully this means it’s just another one of those short bouts that will disappear completely within a few days.
Flights [...]
