Glen, Susan and a trainer from the UK (I forget his name, sorry guys!) took the class for the filming of BP33, and I have to say it rocked! The atmosphere was great. It did seem a bit funny people getting carried away and screaming and whistling in the warmup, but I guess it’s a filming after all 😆
It was interesting watching them do the intro’s, and they had to do a retake a couple of times on the intro. I wish we could do that when we do a certification videos 😆 Then in squats we had to restart at one point, I’m glad we didn’t have to redo the whole track again! Apart from that, from memory I think we went straight through without any other mistakes.
Bench lunges seem to be here to stay for a while. They get a lot harder in BP63 and we now use the bench for the entire track (I think we’re doing that in 62 aswell, I forget now). This means the way we’re working our legs in lunges has a whole new focus now. There’s some great music in this release, the back track stood out to me in particular. Susan told us all to put up our weight in the triceps track, so we all nervously added some weight in this track. It’s hard to know with the super heavy silver bars whether I was lifting more than usual or not, but I can see how the chorrey lends itself to lifting more weight, there’s a lot more tricep presses and pullovers and less tricep extensions, which are usually more difficult to do with a heavy weight.
Overall sounds like a great release, although it’s hard to know how much of it is just the atmosphere. I’ll be looking forward to when this one comes to Adelaide though anyway!
